RENU Contracting Restoration built Hampton Coffee Company’s 6th location on Long Island. This small chain community-centered café was built into Center Moriches Public Library as a store front coffee shop. BBS Architects worked with RENU on this 1,350 sq.ft. addition to the library that would prove to be a new place to gather and a means of encouragement for community members to visit their public library.
Beginning in May of 2021 RENU performed demolition and took on reconstruction exposing steel beams, windows, concrete siding and dug out a new foundation for the additional space. Beneath the foundation, rough plumbing was installed as well as septic tanks. Milburn Flooring provided 2,000 sq.ft. of porcelain tile, smaller sections of VCT and walk-off carpet with carpet tile updates that would aid in a seamless transition of new carpet to Milburn’s previous 2016 installation. A partition wall from Sunrise Door Solutions divides the coffee shop and library and was installed by RENU Contracting Restoration who managed all aspects of the addition. With an appealing new storefront and all the proper equipment in place to make an exceptional cup of coffee, the Center Moriches Public Library entices new patrons every day with the help of RENU Contracting Restoration. Because of the success of this addition more work is desired, and RENU has submitted plans to continue to improve the library with innovative new trends that will continue to bring the community together.
