Budget/Staff Accountant (Temp To Perm)

We are currently seeking a Staff Accountant to assist in various duties, tasks, and responsibilities within our accounting department. The Staff Accountant is cross trained for all jobs under the direction of the Corporate Controller.

Primary Responsibilities:

Seeking a technologically skilled and analytical accountant to assist with management of general ledger and budgeting within the organization.
Work on month end closing activities
Managing various aspects of the general ledger
Analyzing and reporting monthly expense variances and assisting with the budget process
Monthly departmental budget reporting

Qualifications:

BA/BS in Accounting or Finance
1-2 years experience
Excel skills and proficiency in MS Office Suite
Detail oriented, solid organizational skills, strong written and verbal communication abilities
Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, quickly changing environment, with aggressive deadlines
Timberline system knowledge preferred
Performs other duties as required to support Accounting Department.
Analytical and problem solving skills
Decision making skills
Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
